Arsenal, Tottenham and Wolves are among the teams keeping tabs on Racing Club midfielder Carlos “Charly” Alcaraz, according to Marca.

The Spanish publication reports that, while the 19-year-old has a €25m (£21m) release clause, Racing Club are expected to sell for a fee in the region of €20m (£17m) this summer.

Alcaraz is a central midfield player by trade, but he can also play in more advanced roles, either as a no.10 or out on the wing.

In addition to interest from the Premier League, Marca also claim that the likes of Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan and PSV Eindhoven have sent scouts to see the teenager in action.

The Gunners could certainly do with strengthening their options in midfield and Alcaraz’s versatility means manager Mikel Arteta would also have a player who can fill in in a number of different positions if needed. We shall see if they step up their interest in the coming weeks.
