Arsenal name price for out-of-favour Spaniard

Arsenal have told Lazio they must pay £7 million if they want to sign forward Lucas Perez.

The Spaniard is the club’s fifth choice forward behind Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Danny Welbeck and youngster Eddie Nketiah, and will be allowed to leave The Emirates this summer to help raise funds for new additions.

Perez spent last season on-loan with his former club Deportivo La Coruna, scoring eight goals and making six assists as Dépor were relegated from La Liga.

Perez returned to Arsenal for pre-season training, however is understood to have told by manager Unai Emery he is surplus to requirements at the club.

Lazio are favourites to land the 30-year-old striker, with the club’s sporting director Igli Tare confident the Spaniard can re-find his best form with the Biancocelesti.

Corriere di Roma report that the Serie A side will have to pay £7 million to lure him from North London however, with Arsenal keen to recoup some of the £17.1 million paid for him in 2016.

Valencia are also understood to be interested in the forward who has scored seven times in 21 appearances for the Gunners.
