Arsenal Monitoring Two New Strikers

Both centre-forwards have just a year left on their respective contracts and could agree a Bosman deal with any other club as early as January. Arsene Wenger wants more options in attack and wants to sign either of the two strikers in January, according to the Express.

Wenger’s preferred option would be Gignac who has had a thunderous start to the season with Marseille in Ligue 1. The French international has scored a goal every game in the league this season for top of the table Marseille, with his recent goal against Caen yesterday his ninth goal in nine league games.

The 28-year-old reportedly wants to quit Marseille and is desperate to play in the Premier League for the Gunners.

Wenger is also monitoring the situation of Giovinco at Juventus with the Italian international having fallen down the pecking order at the Old Lady behind the likes of Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente and Alvaro Morata.
