Arsenal Might Pull Another Important Move On The Transfer Market

Rumors surrounding Paul Georges Ntep’s possible move to Arsenal have been pointing to a winter transfer. According to Metro though, the Gunners snubbed any possible deal that might have taken place between the North London club and Auxerre who are now playing in the French Ligue 2. Despite being seen as one of the most promising strikers on the market, the 21 year old is no longer of interest for Wenger which is quite odd considering his profile.

Ntep who has only played for Auxerre has been part of all of France’s national teams while growing up, including the U21 for which he has managed 6 goals in 7 appearances.

When asked about any offers coming from Arsenal, Auxerre’s president, Guy Cotret insisted there is nothing to talk about and that it remains a mystery why so many sources hint towards a possible deal between the French side and the Gunners.

The 21 year old is currently valued at about £7m which would be an excellent investment to make for Arsenal who are in desperate need of some fire power. Ntep looks promising on paper but he never had a chance to perform against strong teams such as the ones in the Premier League. Even so, it would be a great time for him to leave France, after spending all of his senior career evolving for Auxerre.

Ntep’s failure to make Wenger’s transfer wish-list could point towards the fact that Arsenal have found an even better fit for the team who is willing to join the Gunners before the end of the month. Hopefully the Emirates team will continue investing in every department just as much as they did in their midfield, by bringing in Ozil.
