Arsenal May No Longer Be Interested In Signing A New Goalkeeper

Arsenal have been linked to several goalkeepers during the summer after Szczesny looked like he was no longer part of Wenger’s plan. Despite having their differences, both the Frenchman and the Gunners’ stopper pushed on through.

According to ESPN, Arsenal’s manager is no longer interested in finding a replacement for the 23 year old Polish international who looks more confident than ever. Wenger pointed out the fact that Szczesny has changed a lot since last year mostly because he is now more mature. This directly affects the way he behaves on the pitch.

The Gunners’ boss also highlighted the fact that Szczesny is now a lot more focused, quicker and wiser when it comes to taking important decisions during the game. Apparently the youngster is a very fast learner which is great considering he is only 23.

Wenger also placed Arsenal’s goalkeeper in the top 5 Premier League stoppers which really proves how impressed the Frenchman is with Szczesny’s season performances.

The Emirates team really showcased a strong defensive line during the first half of the season. Szczesny had played an important role in Arsenal’s excellent run, which is quite a pleasant surprise considering some of his weak performances from last year. It looks like, despite having his differences with the club, the Polish international has managed to prove his abilities. Hopefully he will continue to grow and help the Gunners win the Premier League at the end of this season.
