Arsenal Make ‘First Official’ £27m Offer For Real Madrid Star

Arsenal have made a move for Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez, according to Defensa Central.

The Spanish website reports that the Gunners have made their “first official” bid to sign the 27-year-old.

The offer is believed to be worth €30m (£27m) plus bonuses that could see the amount rise to €40m if all conditions are met.

Real Madrid are hoping for an auction for the player with Inter Milan said to be also interested in Vazquez, and it remains to be seen if Arsenal’s bid is accepted.

The wide man is unlikely to feature a great deal in Real’s first team next season, following Eden Hazard’s arrival from Chelsea.

Vazquez is reportedly keen to move on from the Bernabeu, in order to ensure that he gets regular game time next season, ahead of Euro 2020 where he has ambitions of making the Spain squad.

The midfielder made 47 appearances for Real last campaign, scoring five goals and providing four assists.
