Arsenal Looking At Former Inter Milan Youngster

Arsenal are monitoring the contractual situation of former Inter Milan player Patrick Olsen after the youngster who operated as a midfielder as part of the Italian side is currently undergoing a trial with Dutch outfit Vitesse Arnhem, according to Metro.

The Gunners continued their quest for the fourth and final UEFA Champions League qualification place as they won their match against Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night and beat Boro to stay in the FA Cup on the weekend. Arsene Wenger has recently also spoken about their new signing Gabriel Paulista from Villarreal, and the manager had suggested the defender was ready to make his debut for the club after training with the first team squad within English conditions. Foreign players do take time to adjust to the English climate and more importantly the pace of the game, and while there is no doubt about Gabriel’s abilities as a defender, the Brazilian will take time to adapt to the new style of play. A big issue is also the language which can prove to be a hurdle for the players who are moving to a new country. Arsenal faced Middlesborough in the 5th round of the FA Cup, and Wenger wanted his players to defend the trophy which they currently hold and sure enough Paulista delivered a decent debut showing that he may well prove to be a good signing.

Patrick Olsen began his career with Brondsby in native Denmark before moving to Inter in 2013. His spell at the club began with a loan spell to Stromsgodset, before he was released by the Italian giants recently.
