Arsenal Look To Revive Bid For £36m Rated Ligue One Speed Merchant

Arsenal are once again tracking Rennes winger Ismaila Sarr, according to reports in Italy.

The Senegalese international has been on the Gunners’ radar for a while and it seems the London club may well revive their interest in the wide man.

Reports in March suggested that representatives from Arsenal met with officials from the French club following Rennes’ 3-1 win in the Europa League.

It seems as though Sarr is now back top of their list of targets after prospective moves for Yannick Carrasco and Ryan Fraser stalled.

It is believed he could cost as much as €40m (£36m) and Arsenal will likely try to negotiate down the price after baulking at similar asking prices for both Carrasco and Fraser.

The Gunners will face a battle for Sarr, though, with AC Milan also tracking the Ligue One star, along with Premier League sides Watford and Newcastle.

The 21-year-old made 50 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring 13 goals and contributing 11 assists.
