Arsenal Loan Report: Osei Tutu and Mavropanos Return To Action In Germany

With the Bundesliga having returned this weekend, we take a look at the two Arsenal loanees who were in action for their respective clubs.

Jordi Osei-Tutu has spent the season with Bochum in Bundesliga-2 and he was in fine form on Saturday as he scored in a 3-0 win over Heidenheim.

With his side already 1-0 up, through an 11th-minute header from Anthony Losilla, Osei-Tutu swivelled on the ball inside the penalty area and hit a low shot past keeper Kevin Muller.

So far, the 21-year-old has made 14 appearances in all competitions for Bochum this season, scoring three goals and contributing one assist.

It wasn’t such a good return for Konstantinos Mavropanos. The Greek defender was partly at fault for two key incidents during Nurnberg’s 1-0 defeat to St Pauli yesterday afternoon.

He was caught out of position as St Pauli went one-on-one with keeper Christian Mathenia, who was promptly sent off for bringing down Henk Veerman.

Mavropanos was also unable to block Viktor Gyokeres’s shot as he scored the winning goal six minutes from time.
