Arsenal Linked To Signing This AC Milan Striker?

Winter is never the best time to expect huge transfers especially in the Premier League and especially when it comes to Arsenal. Why? Because clubs outside the UK always overprice their players for English clubs and because most of the domestic competitors don’t want to strengthen possible adversaries. Unfortunately, it does make sense and it shouldn’t be something that affects Wenger’s attitude. He is actually one of the few who predicted the market will blow up if clubs start throwing money towards who everyone outside the Albion.

On the other hand, there’s no need for Arsenal to back up completely from the transfer market. It is a good time to sign young players with little experience, players who could both prove themselves and also adapt to the Premier League and most importantly to Wenger’s demands.

According to the Daily Star, one of Wenger’s former targets has made the transfer list again. His name is M’Baye Niang and everyone who knows a bit about football has heard of him. The 22-year-old AC Milan striker who is also excellent as a left winger, is under contract until 2019 but seems eager to make the step towards the big leagues. While some may argue that AC Milan is a top choice given their history, current statistics show the former Champions League winners are struggling to make it to the UEFA Europa League. Compare that to the fact that Arsenal provide constant Champions League presences and weekly top-notch confrontations with Premier League squads and you might get an idea why Niang might be willing to sit down and talk. There’s also the fact that Wenger is French and would probably get along quite well with the youngster who has already played for 3 of France’s youth teams and would be more exposed to a selection for the senior squad. As long as Niang is at peace with the fact that he will be a substitute until he proves himself, signing him wouldn’t be the most unexpected transfer in the world.
