Arsenal Lining Up Bid For Promising Frenchman?

Not many have heard of young French footballer, Antoine Griezmann as he has not been anywhere in the limelight. He does not play for the biggest of clubs in world football, nor has he achieved great heights compared to others his age like Neymar or Lucas Moura. However, despite that, he is still one of the most talked about names among the scouts from across the world.

The 21-year old shifted base from France to Spain as a little boy as he was absorbed by the academy at Real Sociedad. He has since come through the ranks at the La Liga outfit and has now broken into the first-team setup. He is a left footed attacker, primarily deployed as an out-and-out right winger. He possesses tremendous pace and burst, shows his agility on the ball and has a good powerful shot in him. He is also gifted with some silky skills on the ball along with some close ball control.

All in all, he is everything Lionel Messi is, but of course a younger and a relatively lesser known entity. A lot of movement has been happening at top clubs across Europe behind the scenes regarding Griezmann, who have all dispatched their scouts to watch him in action. Spotting several scouts in the stands during Real Sociedad’s games is a very common occurrence now.

Metro now report that Arsenal are also keeping themselves in the loop regarding any development on Griezmann, as manager Arsene Wenger has been impressed with what he has been hearing about the winger. He fancies his chances against several other European clubs of getting this promising youngster, given Wenger’s French roots and his strong history of developing and nurturing young talents into world beaters.

Also, finding his French compatriots Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and Bacary Sagna already at the club is something which could sway his decision in a move to the Emirates Stadium.

He is definitely not going to come cheap, and with a price of £20 million being mooted as sufficient to lure him, a January bid could very well in the pipeline from Arsenal.
