Despite several rumors pointing towards the fact that Wenger will only have enough money to sign one or two defenders this winter, it seems that things are a bit different. Arsenal could bring in another striker to probably replace Podolski and/or Sanogo. The German is unsatisfied with his situation at the club and will leave the first chance he gets. Sanogo looks overwhelmed by the pressure and could also leave. Joel Campbell who could also be a solution for the attack, is strongly linked to a couple of Italian clubs and will surely consider an offer after making just a few short appearances this season. According to Metro, a £20million deal would convince the Romans to let Mattia Destro leave as early as this winter.

The Italian striker confirmed that he is happy to hear about the rumors that are circulating over the internet and that Arsenal would be a great destination for him. Destro expressed his frustration with the fact that he is not used as often as he thinks fit.

A move to North London will come with a substantial raise in salary which is also appealing for the Italian. The problem is that he does not know if he will get more time on the pitch with Arsenal than he does at Roma. The 23 year old who since 2012 managed a somewhat impressive run in Serie A, is under contract with the Romans until 2017.
