Arsenal are weighing up an offer for Flamengo attacking midfielder Reinier, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
The Italian website reports that the Gunners have been tracking the Brazilian Under 17 international, who is interesting a number of European clubs.
Reinier has a release clause of €70m (£62.4m) but his contract with Flamengo will expire in eighteen months time.
Reports in Brazil have suggested Manchester City, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan had been monitoring the teenager’s situation.
However, it appears Arsenal have now also entered the fray. Flamengo are said to be desperate for Reinier to sign a new deal until 2024, and if he does he could be out of the London club’s reach.
If that doesn’t happen, though, the Brazilian side may be forced to sell up this summer or next January.
The link to Reinier is likely at the behest of Arsenal’s prospective new technical director Edu, who will definitely be aware of the player’s talents.
