Arsenal Line Up 25M Swoop For 12 Cap International Forward But They Will Have To See Off Two London Rivals

Arsenal are plotting a summer move for Red Bull Salzburg striker Noah Okafor, according to reports in England.

The forward, who has been capped 12 times by Switzerland, is also attracting interest from two of the Gunners’ rivals; Tottenham and West Ham.

Okafor has been in decent form this campaign, scoring 10 goals in 30 appearances, but the fact that he will have just twelve months left on his contract at the end of the season means he could be available for a relatively low price.

It is believed Salzburg could be prepared to let the 22-year-old leave for only £25m and, considering his potential, it seems like a very reasonable fee.

Arsenal are not exactly short of strikers, though. In addition to Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, Folarin Balogun will also return to the Emirates in the summer after his loan spell at Reims. He has scored 17 league goals during his time in France, and he will be hoping for more minutes next season. With that being the case, it would be a surprise if the Gunners snapped up Okafor as well.
