Arsenal Legend Becomes One Of First Managers To Be Inducted Into Premier League Hall Of Fame Alongside His Greatest Rival

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has become the first manager to be inducted into the Premier League Hall Of Fame – alongside long-time rival Alex Ferguson.

Having spent so many years at Arsenal in the Premier League, it can be difficult to decide who Wenger’s greatest rival really is. Of course, Jose Mourinho is a front-runner – the disdain between the pair was always on show during match days.

However, we think Ferguson is the real answer. The two battled on so many occasions, it is almost incalculable. Fergie got the better of Wenger on most occasions, but Wenger also has the honour of leading the Gunners to an unbeaten season – something the Scot could never accomplish.

Wenger enjoyed a brilliant spell in the Premier League with the Gunners – even if his reign grew somewhat underwhelming toward its conclusion. During his time with Arsenal, Wenger won three Premier League trophies and an impressive seven FA Cups.

Meanwhile, Fergie boasts a trophy collection like no other – few head coaches have been as decorated as the former Aberdeen man. In total, Fergie won 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups, four League Cups and two Champions League trophies.

The Premier League Hall Of Fame features an illustrious list of former fan-favourites, including Patrick Vieira, Didier Drogba and Sergio Aguero – to name a few.

The first class of Premier League Hall Of Fame inductees came in 2021, featuring players such as Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Alan Shearer.
