Arsenal Leading The Race To Sign 43M Rated Ivorian Midfield Dynamo

Arsenal are currently favourites to land AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie if he doesn’t sign a new contract with the Serie A club, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Ivorian international has one year remaining on his current deal at the San Siro and the Rossoneri may be forced into selling him this summer to prevent him from leaving for nothing next year.

Kessie’s current asking price is believed to be €50m (£43m) but that is likely to drop in the coming months if he does turn down the chance to stay in Italy.

The Gunners are believed to be keen on strengthening their midfield options. They are already closing in on the signing of Anderlecht’s Albert Sambi Lokonga but more additions are likely if certain players depart the Emirates.

Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi could all be sold if buyers are found and, with Dani Ceballos having also left the club after his loan spell, it seems as though Arsenal have been looking at Kessie as a potential reinforcement.
