Arsenal Keen On Snapping Up Croatian International Who Could Be Sold For £9m

Arsenal have joined the race to sign Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida, according to Fanatik. The Turkish publication claims that the Croatian international is being eyed by both the Gunners and West Brom.

Reports over the past couple of weeks have also linked the centre-back with Liverpool and West Ham, with Besiktas weighing up selling the player due to his wages.

Vida is currently one of the highest earners at the Super Lig club, with a salary of €3m a season and, for that reason, they are willing to let him leave for the right price.

Fanatik suggest that a €10m (£9m) bid would be enough for Besiktas to sell but Arsenal may have some persuading to do to convince the 31-year-old into moving to the Emirates.

The Croatian is reportedly happy in Istanbul and is in no rush to leave his current club. A definitive decision on his future will be made at the end of the season, but it appears the Gunners are keen on signing the defender.
