Wenger could get an unexpected chance to sign a young dynamic striker who has grown up playing in the Premier League. Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku who is currently on loan with Everton could move to the Emirates during the summer. The 20 year old striker who has scored 13 times and managed 6 assists for his current team, is set to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season. Even if rumors suggest he might be brought in by Mourinho as a third option for the two strikers who are set to move to London, there is still a strong chance he will be let go.

According to talkSPORT, the Belgian international is one of Kevin Campbell’s favorite strikers. Arsenal’s former player insisted that Lukaku could become the scorer the Gunners need in order to keep up with teams like Liverpool or City who have scored almost twice as much as Wenger’s side.

Lukaku would be a signicant addition to a team who lack enough fire power. The downside is that Mourinho might not agree to a transfer to the Emirates. It is well known that the Portuguese manager is not keen on letting his players join the competition. At the beginning of the season he even refused to let Demba Ba sign with the Gunners because he did not want to move a quality player to a direct rival and that is of course the major stumbling block with the potential move of such an efficient striker as Lukaku to become a part of Arsenal’s squad.
