Arsenal Join Chelsea In Pursuing 20 Year Old Palace Star With TEN Goal Contributions This Season

Arsenal, Chelsea, Lille, Everton and Bayern Munich are all tracking Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, according to The Sun.

The 20-year-old only moved to Selhurst Park in July but he has scored four goals and contributed six assists in only 20 appearances so far this season.

Olise generally likes to play off the right wing, cutting in onto his stronger left foot so, if he were to join the Gunners, the Frenchman would be in direct competition with Bukayo Saka.

However, the midfielder can also be deployed in more central areas. The majority of the games he played for Reading last campaign came as a number 10, and his seven goals and 12 assists in 44 Championship appearances suggest that’s where his future may lie.

Considering the number of clubs interested in Olise’s services, though, Arsenal would probably have to guarantee first-team football, but that may be difficult considering the number of options that manager Mikel Arteta has in the positions that he plays.
