Arsenal Join £30million Race For Former Captain Cesc Fabregas

Fabregas could return to Arsenal as the former captain seems to have drifted apart with Barcelona’s management. The Spaniard is set to return to the UK where he became one of the most sought after players in the world.  After spending three years playing for the Spanish side, the former Gunner is looking to return back where he started. Wenger who refused to comment on a possible comeback from Fabregas, has a big enough budget to sign the 27 year old who visibly improved his game since 2011. Playing alongside Iniesta, Xavi and Messi really helped him step up his game. He would be the perfect experienced player to help Ramsey and Wilshere develop into some of the world’s best midfielders. There is a problem though which some may have forgotten about. When Fabregas wanted to leave for Barcelona, both the club and Wenger tried to block the transfer on several occasions. Things did not end well between the Spaniard and Arsenal.

One other thing which may come between Arsenal and Fabregas is Wenger’s desire to sign a more defensive player rather than someone with the same profile as Ozil or Cazorla. According to the Daily Mail, Sven Bender is the man the Gunners have been watching. It would be a great occasion to sign the German who just missed his national team’s squad for the World Cup in Brazil. He is currently valued at half the price Barcelona are asking for Fabregas and he is also two years younger.
