Arsenal are one of five teams who have taken an interest in Inter Milan goalkeeper Ionut Radu, according to FCInternews.it. The Italian website claims the Gunners have been scouting the 22-year-old ahead of a possible bid.
West Ham, Nice, Fiorentina and Torino are also keen on the Romanian international, but the Nerazzurri would only be prepared to loan him, rather than sell him outright.
Radu has actually spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Genoa. In 19 appearances, he has conceded 37 goals and kept two clean sheets. However, he has been on the bench in recent games and he could be recalled before the end of the month.
Why Arsenal would be pursuing the Romanian, it is hard to tell. Bernd Leno is the club’s established number one, while Emi Martinez has proven to be a reliable understudy.
Radu is tipped to make a name for himself in the game, and perhaps the Gunners believe his potential would make him difficult to pass up if he becomes available.
