Ethan Nwaneri
The 17-year-old winger suffered a disappointing muscle injury during the Gunners’ 1-1 draw with Brighton earlier in the month, Nwaneri also scored Arsenal’s only goal during the match.
It is not expected to be a major issue for the winger, although it looks as though he will likely miss the remainder of January.
Arteta said after the Brighton game: “Unfortunately, he’s picked up a [muscular] injury and is going to be out for a few weeks.”
Expected return date – Sunday 2 February vs Manchester City (H)
Ben White
White has been out injured for an extended period of time after he underwent surgery on his knee in late November.
It seemed as though there was a chance for the centre-back to miss the remainder of the season, but his recovery has gone well, with Arteta admitting earlier in January: “Ben is still a few weeks away.”
Expected return date – Sunday 2 February vs Manchester City (H)
