Arsenal Star Owen Hargreaves Dubbed A “Great Player” Spotted Back In Training After Extended Injury Period

Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie has been dubbed as a “great player” by Owen Hargreaves, he is back in training.

The Gunners head to Fulham on Saturday afternoon for a clash against the Cottagers, which won’t be an easy test. If Arsenal do win on Saturday, they will extend their lead over Liverpool to four points, as the Reds play on Sunday.

Arsenal have won their last three Premier League games, and will hope to continue their good form against Fulham, with three more points on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta will be without Martin Odegaard, Noni Madueke, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus due to injury concerns, but it seems that Piero Hincapie may be back for the game on Saturday.

Hincapie spotted in training

Arsenal signed Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window, but the Gunners have only seen him play once, as he suffered a groin injury in a Champions League game against Athletic Bilbao in September.

However, as reported by BBC Sport, Hincapie was spotted in training on Thursday for the Gunners, suggesting that he could be available for selection against Fulham.

The Ecuadorian has had the international break to recover, and it seems to have been enough for him to shake off his injury.

Hargreaves hails “great” Arsenal star Hincapie

We haven’t seen much of the 23-year-old since he joined at the Emirates, as the star at the back has been Cristhian Mosquera in terms of summer signings.

However, former England international Owen Hargreaves has said that Arsenal fans may have forgotten about Hincapie, and that he’s a “great player”.

Hargreaves said on TNT Sport: “By the way, we’ve not seen Hincapie yet either. He’s a great player, yeah, there’s another one that can go into that mix. Honestly, that’s the best collection of centre-backs in the whole league easily.”
