Arsenal fans have been reacting to the news that winger Noni Madueke is set to spend a spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.
The Gunners did get some positive injury news over the weekend as during the game against Man City, Bukayo Saka made his return after around a month out with a hamstring injury. However, Saka’s presence wasn’t enough to get Arsenal the win, as they drew 1-1 at the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta brought Saka into the game at half time, but it wasn’t necessarily something he would have chosen to do, as he was forced into the move. Winger Noni Madueke suffered a knee injury during the game, and so Saka replaced him.
Madueke has been one of Arsenal’s best players in the wake of Saka’s injury, but it now seems that he is set for a spell on the touchline. GiveMeSport Journalist Ben Jacobs provided an update on X, he said: “Noni Madueke set for a spell on the sidelines due to a knee injury sustained against Manchester City. Timeline for return still unclear as tests ongoing. However, Madueke has not done his ACL, despite rumours.”
There is no return date set for Madueke yet, but it could mean that the winger misses some key games over the coming weeks.
Arsenal fans took to social media to react to Madueke’s injury
Following the report by Jacobs, many Arsenal fans posted on X offering their support to Madueke, and also voicing their opinions on what a blow it could be to their title chances…

Do the Gunners have any other injuries?
Other than Madueke, Arsenal don’t have too many to worry about. Gabriel Jesus is still recovering from his long-term ACL injury, and he is expecting to return around the New Year.
Kai Havertz is still out with a knee injury and looking at a November return. In terms of short-term issues, Martin Odegaard has been dealing with a minor shoulder injury, but it isn’t a serious issue.
He is currently being assessed, and will most likely make his return against Newcastle at the weekend, so not too bad for Arteta.
