Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that captain Martin Odegaard should return for the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid.
The Norwegian was absent from the matchday squad for the victory over Fulham at the weekend due to knee problem.
However, speaking after the match on Saturday, Arteta said Odegaard and Kai Havertz are likely to be in contention to face Atletico:
“I think so, the both of them.”

Kai Havertz
As mentioned above, Havertz is set to make his comeback after a two-game absence due to a muscular injury.
The German international was forced off 10 minutes before halftime during the 1-0 win over Newcastle last month.
There was a concern that Havertz could be sidelined for a lengthy period, but those fears were allayed after further examination.
The 26-year-old is expected to be on the bench for the Champions League semi-final second leg.
