Updates On Martin Odegaard, Jurrien Timber And 6 More: Arsenal Injury News And Expected Return Dates

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has played down the knock he sustained against Bournemouth at the weekend.

The Norwegian seemed to sustain an injury after inadvertently kicking the turf when trying to take a shot.

While Odegaard did play the full 90 minutes during the 2-1 defeat, he was seen limping when he came off the pitch.

When asked about his talisman’s fitness in the post-match interview, manager Mikel Arteta said he did not know the extent of the injury but the player was keen to ease fears when asked about it himself:

“Yeah, I think it’s okay. It was just a hit, so it’s a bit sore, but it’s fine.”

Expected return date – Wednesday 8 May vs Paris Saint-Germain (A)

Jurrien Timber

The Netherlands international was forced off with an injury during the first leg of the 1-0 defeat to PSG.

Timber was subsequently absent from the matchday squad for the Bournemouth fixture and, asked whether he’d back available for the match in the Parc des Princes, Arteta said “No.” Pressed further on the extent of the injury, he said “I cannot tell you.”

Expected return date –  Unknown
