Arsenal striker Kai Havertz is currently being assessed over a knee injury which hampered him from going on international duty with Germany.
The 25-year-old suffered an issue after Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Southampton and is using the international break as a chance to recover in time for the Gunners’ next game against B0urnemouth.
The striker has scored in every home game so far this season and has been a crucial part of Mikel Arteta’s squad. Alan Shearer called him “a real centre-forward” this week praising Havertz for filling the void that Arsenal had in terms of a pure striker.
His injury shouldn’t keep him out of the next game and it is likely that Havertz will return fully fit to start against Bournemouth.
Expected return date – Saturday 19 October vs Bournemouth (A)
Martin Odegaard
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has been dealing with an ankle sprain that he suffered whilst on international duty with Norway during the last break.
He is recovering well and the latest break gives the midfielder a good chance to recover without missing out on anymore matches for the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta said: “He’s working so hard, and he’s pushing. Difficult to give a timeline.” As it is unclear when he will return, the game against Bournemouth looks too soon, but he should be back not too long after that.
Expected return date – Sunday 27 October vs Liverpool (H)
