Ben White
Defender Ben White suffered a knee injury in late September and returned to full training last week. However, Mikel Arteta didn’t deem him fit enough to play against Southampton.
It looks as though once the international break is through, White should be available for selection in the next game against Bournemouth which is a big boost for Arsenal as they face Liverpool and Chelsea in the near future.
Expected return date – Saturday 19 October vs Bournemouth (A)
Jurrien Timber
Full back Timber felt a muscle issue during Arsenal’s 2-0 win against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and so Mikel Arteta decided to substitute him.
Timber also then missed Arsenal’s last game against Southampton, but should be back for their return from the international break away at Bournemouth.
Mikel Arteta said: “He’s played a lot of minutes, probably more minutes than we wanted in the last few weeks, and we have to manage him.”
