Arsenal attacker Kai Havertz is nearing a return from his hamstring injury, which had initially ruled him out for the rest of the season.
The German international suffered his injury during a warm-weather training camp in Dubai in February and underwent surgery soon afterwards.
Due to the most recent injury news, Havertz could make a return as early as next week when Arsenal face their Champions League semi-final second leg against PSG, they lost the first leg 1-0 at the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta said: “‘I think [the UCL semi-final is] too close. But if I have to bet on him earlier than expected, I would say yes. The way he works every day in that gym, pushing everybody, I don’t think you can hold him much longer.”
Expected return date – Sunday 11 May vs Liverpool (A)
Jorginho
Midfielder Jorginho is recovering from a chest issue which caused him to have difficulty breathing earlier in April. He is looking at a return soon, and also could make the second leg against PSG if all goes well.
Arsenal boss Arteta said last week: “For Jorginho, I think, unfortunately, it will be a few weeks.” – However, he is making good progress.
