Latest Arsenal Injury News And Expected Return Dates: Updates On Gabriel Jesus And 2 Others

Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus missed the 2-0 win over Aston Villa at the weekend due to a groin problem.

Speaking before the match, manager Mikel Arteta confirmed that the Brazilian international would have a scan at the start of this week to determine the extent of the injury:

“Unfortunately on Thursday in the training session, just at the end he felt something in his groin. We’ll need to assess him. We need to have an MRI scan to see, but he wasn’t available for the game. We have to see [if it is a long-term injury]. Probably tomorrow or Monday we’ll have the results to see if it’s a matter of days or weeks. We don’t know.”

There are concerns that Jesus could be out for an extended period but, at this stage, there is no estimate as to when he will be back in action.
