Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has undergone a scan on the hamstring injury he sustained during the 2-1 win over Sevilla earlier this week, according to the Evening Standard.
The Brazilian international played a key role with a goal and an assist on Tuesday night but he is now a serious doubt for the league fixture against Sheffield United.
Supporters on X are very much hoping that Jesus won’t be sidelined for an extended period of time:
I hope it’s not serious

Jesus did play down the seriousness of the injury
The 26-year-old was interviewed after the Sevilla match and he was asked about why he was substituted with 10 minutes to go.
Jesus confirmed that he had “felt something” in his hamstring but he played down the problem, stating he expects the scan won’t reveal a serious injury. Whether his instincts will prove to be correct, we shall have to wait and see.
Arsenal could get by without him this weekend
Considering the Gunners forward is in good form, it would be a setback if he isn’t available to face Sheffield United on Saturday.
However, with the Blades having conceded 24 goals in just 9 games so far this season, you would hope that Mikel Arteta’s side have enough depth to cope without him, especially at home.
