Arsenal Injury News For Massive Manchester United Match

Here we take a look Arsenal injury news for the massive Manchester United match. We’ll be taking a look at three players who could miss out on Arsenal’s huge clash against Manchester United on Sunday, January 22 at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are set to be without Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Jesus for the game against United. Both are long term injuries – Jesus is out with a knee injury and could return in March, while Nelson has a thigh problem with no set return date.

Additionally, Mohamed Elneny is facing a late fitness test to see if he can play. He suffered a knee injury in training which ruled him out of Arsenal’s derby win against Tottenham. Reportedly, Elneny has not been training this week – making his chances of inclusion against United remote.

Manchester United are the only team to have beaten Arsenal in the Premier League so far this season. In that game, a consolidation goal couldn’t stop the Red Devils as they romped to a 3-1 win, courtesy of a first half goal from Antony on debut and a Marcus Rashford brace.

Despite this, United are set to be without a few of their own key players – including the impressive but suspended Casemiro which has to be a huge bonus for Mikel Arteta’s side plus Diogo Dalot and Donny Van De Beek are out and on top of this, Anthony Martial is also a doubt.

Mikel Arteta’s men are currently top of the Premier League – the team in second, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, are five points behind the Gunners. Can Arsenal hold onto their lead and win their first league title since 2004? This is the best chance they may have for many years to come.
