Arsenal centre-back Piero Hincapie is a doubt for Sunday’s game against Newcastle with a groin injury that he suffered before the Gunners’ game against Man City. 

Mikel Arteta saw his side draw 1-1 against Man City over the weekend after Gabriel Martinelli scored a late equaliser at the Emirates, following an Erling Haaland opener.

They managed to get through to the Carabao Cup fourth round with a midweek win against Port Vale, and Arteta will now have his attention on the weekend against Newcastle United, which will be a tough challenge in the Premier League.

Defender Piero Hincapie is a doubt for the game, as he was ruled out of both the City and Port Vale games with a groin injury, and is remains unknown whether he will be available on Sunday against Newcastle.
