Ben White, Raheem Sterling And More In Arsenal Injury News And Expected Return Dates

Arsenal defender Ben White is expected to get back from his knee injury sooner than initially expected according to a new update.

White suffered a serious knee issue which caused him to undergo surgery in November. There was a chance that the defender could have missed the remainder of the season, but things are looking more positive now that we’re into January.

Arsenal face a game against Brighton on Saturday evening which provides them with the chance to get to just three points behind league leaders Liverpool with a win.

The Gunners come off a 3-1 win against Brentford last time out, and will hope to continue their good form at the Amex on Saturday.

The game will come too soon for Ben White, however, it looks more likely that he could now return before the end of the month, rather than the initial expected return of March. Mikel Arteta said: “Ben is still a few weeks away.”

Expected return date – Sunday 2 February vs Manchester City (H)

Raheem Sterling

Chelsea loanee Sterling is expected to miss Saturday’s game against Brighton, however, he is much closer to a return for the Gunners.

The former City winger picked up a knee injury in December, his return later this month will be welcome due to Bukayo Saka’s long term injury.

Arteta said: “He is starting to do some stuff on the pitch, so that is great news. Let’s see how he progresses next week, and we will see if he is available for the following week.”

Expected return date – Sunday 12 January vs Manchester United (H)
