Arsenal’s injury situation is gradually improving as several names are becoming fit again. 

The Gunners face a trip to Newcastle on Saturday for the early kick-off as they look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League after consecutive winless matches.

Mikel Arteta will be pleased however as his side won 3-0 in a midweek Carabao Cup meeting with Preston North End in a game where goals came from Gabriel Jesus, Ethan Nwaneri and Kai Havertz.

They come off a 2-2 draw to Liverpool in the Premier League last weekend where Ben White was seen to struggle at the end of the game. He is now a doubt for this weekend’s trip to Newcastle.

Mikel Arteta said after the Preston game: “He was struggling at the end of the [Liverpool] match, so he wasn’t available for tonight’s game.”
