Updates On Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber And 6 More: Arsenal Injury News And Expected Return Dates

Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice is a major doubt for this weekend’s game against Newcastle.

Manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the 26-year-old was not able to train in the build-up to the draw versus Liverpool due to a hip problem:

“I think he is struggling, it does not look good.”

Arteta’s remarks suggests that Rice will struggle to make the squad for the Newcastle fixture, having already missed the trip to Anfield.

Expected Return Date: Sunday 25th May vs Southampton (A)

Jurrien Timber

The Netherlands international did make the bench for the Liverpool clash but he didn’t make it onto the pitch.

Arteta confirmed after the match that Timber was still carrying an injury:

“With Jurrien, we brought him to see if he was better but it was clear that he was not fit to play.”

Timber did play in the defeat to Paris Saint-Germain last Wednesday but it appears that he is still suffering the effects of an issue he suffered in the first leg of the Champions League tie.

Expected Return Date: Unknown
