Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya is doubtful about this weekend’s match against Leicester City because of a thigh injury he suffered during the week.
The Spaniard has arguably been the best keeper in the Premier League so far, but he could be ruled out for Saturday’s game which would come as a big blow for Mikel Arteta.
When asked about Raya, the Arsenal boss said: “We don’t know yet, he’s got a muscular injury.”
It is unclear whether he will be fit to start, if not Neto will make his first start after joining Arsenal on loan from Premier League rivals Bournemouth.
Expected Return Date – Saturday 28 September vs Leicester City
Ben White
Defender Ben White is dealing with a knee injury, which makes him doubtful for Saturday’s game against Leicester City. He was dropped in favour of Riccardo Calafiori in the Gunners’ 2-2 draw against league leaders Manchester City.
So regardless of whether he is fit, White will likely not start the game either way due to Calafiori’s impressive performance at the Etihad. His status is set at 50% meaning he would likely be on the bench if deemed fit.
Mikel Arteta is yet to reveal the extent of White’s injury, but seeing as there is a chance for him to play this weekend, it seems to be relatively tame.
