Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli is expected to be sidelined for at least a month with the hamstring injury he sustained against Newcastle at the start of February.
The forward pulled up before half-time during the second leg of the Carabao Cup tie at St James’ Park; a game that the Gunners would go on to lose 2-0.
Martinelli has already been on the treatment table for 10 days so there is an expectation that he will return before the March international break.
The 23-year-old is unlikely to be fit for the Champions League round of 16 first leg at the beginning of next month but he could make his comeback soon afterwards.
