Fabio Vieira is set to be available again after three months on the sidelines with a groin injury.
The Portuguese midfielder underwent surgery in November but his rehabilitation did take slightly longer than expected.
Arteta initially predicted that Vieira would be back in contention after the winter break but it has taken a few more weeks for him to be ready for selection.
Having trained with the first-team squad for a full week, he should be able to take his place on the bench to face his former team.
