Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya could miss their game against Manchester City this weekend with an injury he picked up during the week.
The Gunners welcome City to the Emirates on Sunday afternoon, as the two will meet for the second time this season. In the reverse fixture, it was a 2-2 draw in what was a fiery affair at the Etihad Stadium in September.
Arsenal won 2-1 in their last game which was a Champions League win against Girona, which helped to send Mikel Arteta‘s side through to the last 16 of the competition. However, Raya had to miss the game due to a knock that he picked up in training.
The Spaniard is now a doubt for the Gunners’ game against rivals Manchester City this weekend, which would be a major blow for Arteta.
The Arsenal boss said: “He certainly could not play; he is injured, and that is it. Let’s see how it goes [for this weekend].”
Expected return date – Sunday 2 February vs Manchester City (H)
