Latest Arsenal Injury News And Expected Return Dates: Updates On Bukayo Saka And Jurrien Timber

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is expected to be fit for the club’s final game of the season this weekend.

The 22-year-old had to be substituted with 10 minutes to go of the 1-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday, after suffering a nasty fall down the slope behind one of the goals at Old Trafford.

However, when asked about Saka’s fitness following the match, manager Mikel Arteta claimed that the player “should be fine”, suggesting he had suffered no ill effects from the fall.

Saka was a doubt heading into the United fixture, having sustained a gash to his leg during the 3-0 victory against Bournemouth the week before. He was passed fit to start but it’s clear that he is carrying his fair share of knocks.

Considering what is at stake, though, the forward will be determined to ensure that he is available for Arsenal’s final fixture, with the Premier League title on the line.

Expected Return Date – Sunday 19th May v Everton

Jurrien Timber has still not been called up for the first-team squad despite being ready to return from an ACL injury.

The Dutchman had been building up his fitness with the Under 21s but he hasn’t played in their last two fixtures against Manchester United and Chelsea.

Timber’s last runout came versus Liverpool on April 28th; a game where he was substituted after 70 minutes.

It was widely assumed that the defender was gearing up for his comeback to the first-team but it is looking increasingly likely that he won’t make another appearance this season.

There is still a chance that manager Mikel Arteta will hand him a place on the bench for the Everton fixture but, considering the other options available to him, including Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior, that seems unlikely

Expected Return Date – Start of Next Season
