Arsenal ‘Increasingly Keen’ On 30M Rated Hotshot With 25 Goals And 9 Assists This Season

Arsenal are “increasingly keen” on making a move for Brentford forward Ivan Toney after a superb first season in the Championship, according to Football.London.

The 24-year-old has racked up 25 goals and nine assists in 33 league appearances since moving from Peterborough last summer, and his performances are attracting interest from the Gunners and West Ham.

Toney is unlikely to be sold if Brentford secure promotion, with the Championship side expected to slap a sky-high price tag on him if they are playing in the top flight next season.

However, if the Bees do remain in the second tier, they may be more open to selling. The fee is still likely to be above £30m, though, which may put off Arsenal.

The likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah could be offloaded in the summer and, with Folarin Balogun possibly departing when his contract expires, signing another forward like Toney is likely to be on the agenda.
