Arsenal ‘In Talks’ With 27 Year Old Playmaker Who They First Tried To Sign Four Years Ago

Arsenal are “in talks” with the agent of Paris Saint-Germain attacking midfielder Julian Draxler, according to 90min.com.

The Gunners originally tried to sign the 27-year-old in the 2017 January transfer window but he decided to make the switch from Wolfsburg to PSG instead.

Draxler is, though, now inside the final six months of his contract at the Parc des Princes and he is not expected to be handed an extension to his current deal.

It means Arsenal could sign him relatively cheaply this month or look to snap him up on a free transfer at the end of the season. Either option could be considered by the London club due to their limited financial resources.

They have backed away from a bid for Lyon’s Houssem Aouar, but they are also thought to be looking at Norwich’s Emi Buendia and Celtic’s Ryan Christie. However, Draxler would likely be the most economical solution out of the three.
