Arsenal In Need Of Leaders

Arsenal have been having a very hard time finding their motivation lately. Most players seem out of touch with the game and others are out with injury. The only one who looks determined enough to actually win some trophies is Alexis. He is alone though and often gets frustrated with his teammates who lack the concentration and the aggressiveness needed to actually win games. According to Metro, Wenger could turn the situation around by signing one or two players who have a strong spine and are not afraid to lead a team as big as Arsenal.

The first player is Mats Hummels. The German defender has had an impressive run with Dortmund and will be looking for a change in scenery. He has all the necessary experience and the perfect age to take over Arsenal’s squad who seems to be drifting at this time. He is 25 and he is available to buy. He has been linked repeatedly to the Gunners and he did express his desire to move to the Premier League.

The second player who could lead Arsenal to victory is Sami Khedira. The midfielder has also been linked to Arsenal several times and has apparently dropped some of his financial expectations just to join the North Londoners. He also has the necessary experience and the attitude to lead Arsenal towards success.

The last player who could make it to Emirates this winter is Luiz Gustavo. The Brazilian has been linked to Arsenal this summer but has not completed a transfer to the Premier League yet. The 27 year old has all the attitude in the world and could fill in some major gaps present in Arsenal’s squad despite his somewhat weak showing at the World Cup and his moedest efforts as any-kind of a decent goal-scorer.
