Arsenal Have ‘Spoken’ To Swedish Ace’s Agent And They Could ‘Go All Out’ To Sign Him By Triggering 60M Release Clause

Arsenal have “spoken” to Alexander Isak’s representatives, according to Spanish radio station CADENA Ser.

Real Madrid have also entered the battle for the Real Sociedad striker and it is said that the Gunners will try to avoid a direct fight with the Spanish club by triggering the Swedish international’s release clause.

CADENA Ser report that Mikel Arteta’s side are prepared to “go all out” by paying Isak’s £60m buyout fee but, as of yesterday, they claim Sociedad have yet to receive a formal offer for the 21-year-old.

It must be pointed out that when a release clause is paid, there is no obligation to inform the club, with the money being directly deposited with the Spanish authorities. A similar thing happened when Arsenal signed Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid last year.

Whether there is any substance to this story regarding Isak, we shall have to wait and see. Chelsea and Liverpool have also been linked with the Swede in recent days, so the Gunners will have a lot of competition for his signature.
