Arsenal Have “Sent Their Scouts” To Watch Brazilian Starlet Who Could Be Sold For Just £4.5m

Arsenal have sent scouts to watch Internacional defender Bruno Fuchs, according to DAZN Brasil commentator Gustavo Fogaca Guffo.

The Gunners, Manchester City, Porto, Ajax and AC Milan have all been suggested as possible destinations for the 21-year-old. Fogaca Guffo told MilanLive.it (quotes via TMW) that three teams have been keeping an eye on the player who could be available for a bargain price:

“He is not yet ready for European football, but he has the right qualities to adapt and grow in a short time reaching the level of necessary competitiveness.”

“In addition to Milan, Arsenal and Porto also sent their scouts to Porto Alegre to analyze the player, but for the moment, no one has made a written proposal. The president of Internacional, Marcelo Medeiros, said he was willing to sell the young defender.”

“It is difficult to make an exact estimate, especially now in times of pandemic. Maybe, between 2 and 5 million euros (£1.8m to £4.5m), but it is difficult to be precise.”

Reports last week suggested that Internacional were looking for at least €15m (£13.5m) but it appears Fuchs could be sold for much less than that.

Edu’s arrival as technical director has led to Arsenal taking a keen interest in young Brazilian talent, and a move for Fuchs would be a calculated gamble.

The centre-back made his senior debut in July last year and has only played 14 first-team games for Internacional. He has been capped for Brazil’s Under 23s and it may be the case that the London club are eyeing another deal similar to Gabriel Martinelli.
