Arsenal Have ‘Held Talks’ With France Under 21 International Ahead Of Free Transfer

Arsenal have “held talks” with former Nice centre-back Malang Sarr about a possible move to the Emirates this summer, according to Goal‘s Gunners’ correspondent Charles Watts.

There had been speculation that the London club had already tabled a contract offer to the France Under 21 international but Watts has said this is not the case.

Sarr left Nice at the end of last month and is available on a free transfer. As we reported earlier this week, Torino are currently leading the race for the defender, although the 21-year-old also has a number of other clubs pursuing him.

Manchester City, RB Leipzig, Lazio, Atalanta, Inter Milan and Fiorentina are all believed to be in the running to sign the Frenchman.

Sarr is not the only centre-back that Arsenal are looking at with Goal claiming that the Gunners do still retain an interest in Stade de Reims’ Axel Disasi, who they enquired about earlier this year.
