Arsenal Has ‘Postponed’ Moves For THREE Players As They Prioritise Replacement For Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal have “postponed” their attempts to sign a winger following the knee injury sustained by Gabriel Jesus, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Gunners were planning an approach for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk in January, with Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane and Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio being eyed as the main alternatives.

However, Jesus’s injury has led to the London club changing their priorities. With the Brazilian expected to be out for up to three months, a potential replacement for their number nine is now the primary focus.

Reports have already surfaced suggesting that moves for Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix or Lille’s Jonathan David could be considered when the transfer window reopens.

However, neither would be cheap, and it’s likely that Arsenal will consider looking at some low-cost options, with Jesus set to be back at the start of March. One potential solution is to recall Folarin Balogun from his loan spell at Reims next month.

The 21-year-old has been in good form since making the switch to France, scoring eight goals in 15 appearances.
