Arsenal Handed Massive Injury Boost Ahead Of Key Fixtures

Arsenal right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu has been pictured back in training after recovering from a troublesome calf injury.

The Japanese international last played for the Gunners in the 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final last month.

However, Tomiyasu took part in the match despite not being 100% match fit. It led to him suffering a setback that consequently meant he missed the matches against Burnley and Wolves.

Despite the 23-year-old’s absence, Arsenal managed to keep clean sheets in both games. Ben White deputised on the right-hand side for the draw against the Clarets, while Cedric filled in, after returning to action following his own injury problems, at Molineux on Thursday.

It does look as though Tomiyasu will be available for selection when the Gunners play Brentford at the Emirates this weekend, as well as the second game against Wolves in as many weeks in ten days’ time.
