Arsenal Handed Massive Boost As ‘Close Friend’ Reveals Malian Star Would Favour Gunners Over Liverpool

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma would favour a move to Arsenal above any other Premier League club, according to Football.London.

The website says a close friend of the Malian told them that the player is interested in moving to the Gunners if he were to leave the Seagulls. Liverpool have also reportedly registered their interest in the player but the 24-year-old is thought to be keener on a switch to the Emirates.

One of the main reasons appears to be the fact that he knows both Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel pretty well from his time at Lille and their presence at Arsenal is likely to sway his thinking in who he joins.

Football.London claim that the Gunners have already contacted Bissouma’s agent Michael N’Cho, although they have made it known that they will only make a formal bid at the end of the season.

The London club are believed to be considering offloading Granit Xhaka to make room for the Malian international, while the loan departure of Dani Ceballos would also make signing another midfielder a priority.
